Mutual exchange scheme

A mutual exchange involves two or more social housing tenants(with secure or assured tenancies) swapping their homes.

This can be a really good way for people whose accommodation is the right size and have no other urgent housing requirements to change area.There are rules about who can swap, (for example you would not be allowed to make yourself overcrowded), to discuss your particular circumstances, contact your landlord.
