The Council uses a banding scheme to prioritise applications.
If you are applying for council and housing association rented accommodation your application will be placed in one of 5 bands, A to E according to your level of housing need. For more information click Prioritising Applications-Housing For Rent.
If you are applying for low cost home ownership properties your application will be placed in one of 3 bands, 1 to 3 according to a separate set of criteria, based on housing need and your circumstances. For more information click Prioritising Applications-Shared Ownership.
If you apply for both types of accommodation you will be placed in the relevant band for each.
