The Oxfordshire Homechoice service provides advice and information about housing options across the four districts and allows housing applicants registered with any of the four councils to go on-line and make bids for available council and housing association homes across all four areas.
Important news
Registered users of Homechoice can now apply for a selection of homes available in other parts of Oxfordshire without having to register again with another council. The aim is to give people the chance to move to another area to find the home they want.
Look out for the selection of out-of-area properties in your local property newsletter or on each council's own Homechoice web pages. Click on the council names above to visit their Homechoice web pages.
The four councils and their partner landlords have agreed to share advertising for:
-
10% of general vacancies for rent
-
All sheltered housing
-
All homes adapted for use by disabled people
-
All HomeBuy and other shared ownership properties
In order to give this extra choice to registered housing applicants, the councils and their housing association partners have agreed a new priority banding scheme to be used across the whole area. For details of the banding scheme visit your local Homechoice web site by clicking on your local council's name above.
