Exchanging homes using Homeswapper

The Homechoice partnership wants to make it easier for tenants of councils and housing associations to find an exchange match. For those in a low priority band this might be the quickest way of getting a move to a new home.

To increase the chances of local tenants finding an exchange match, Homechoice is working in partnership with Homeswapper, a national home exchange web site for council and housing association tenants. For most tenants in Oxfordshire it is now FREE to subscribe to Homeswapper. If your landlord has not joined Homeswapper yet, you can still register to find exchange matches but there will be a twice yearly charge. Click to see if your landlord is a member.

Once you have registered you will receive details of other tenants in all parts of the country who are interested in the type of property you are in. You can receive the information by e-mail or text message. It is then up to you to decide whether to contact the other tenants about an exchange of homes. Good Luck!
